The pleasure of escape Imagine you are in a room. You are all alone with no way of escape. There are no windows and its pitch black. The only way out of the room is a metal door which is always locked. Three bars in the door with gaps in between provide ventilation. You don’t have to worry about suffocation but your captor barely provides you with sufficient food and water. You’re handcuffed to a metal bar in the wall and can barely move about. How would you feel in a situation like this? Trapped? Alone? Or perhaps scared? Now tell me how it would feel to escape. Wouldn’t you feel liberated? Wouldn’t you feel the sweet sense of relief coursing through your body and overpowering your senses? But what if you never escaped? What if you never found a way out, never got to see the outside world again and perished, helpless and alone? You can stop imagining now. Kidnappings and abductions seem to be a regular occurrence these days. There are many cases of children going missing and though they are not always found, there are a few lucky souls out there who manage to survive and break free of their captors. There are many stories and movies featuring escape as well. One such movie called Escape Plan is all about escaping. The movie features tough and chiseled Ray Breslin who knows how to infiltrate a prison -- and bust out of one.
