Off the back, out of all the characters in The Pardoner’s Tale, I chose the mysterious old man for my symbol. I beleive that the symbol i drew is a very beautiful picture of a ugly old man, or death himself. In my symbol you’ll see that the old man or Death’s body is standing over the rioters death; money. The symbol i made resembles half the dark face of death, and another half of a light gloomy, wrinkled, old man wrapped in a hood. Secondly, one of the main events were the three rioters looking for death, but ending up finding their own death. The old man showed them the way to their death becaus he lead them to the tresure where he said death was. The treasure caused them to turn on each other and die. This could have possibly been the role of the old man in the first place, showing the person reading the story that money is the rude of evil. …show more content…

The trees i drew are identical and curved on both sides, also going to the middle. Below the body is a treasure chest with the word gold on it but in reality its death; if you look closely, the word death is written in behind the word gold. The old man or death is placed over the tresure which would make you think he is the reason for this. Then like i stated before, looking at my symbol, you’d know that the old man or death played an important part in the rioters death. Furthermore, the symbol would make make you think the old man or death is up to something mischievous with the evil grin he has. The qualities in the symbol other people and i would see is something evil and mysterios; i think could remind you of a evil person, like a smart devious killer who would set up their victim to death.
