The two text Young Goodman Brown and The Raven were very interesting to read. I cannot choose which my favor is since I enjoyed both. The symbolizations that are in both text give the stories meanings behind the words. With these meanings, it helps opens the text to a broader view. Nathaniel Hawthorne has a few different symbols throughout his text Young Goodman Brown that were both objects and people. Faith, Young Goodman Brown’s wife name is a symbol of her personality. “Faith, as the wife was aptly named,” (Brown 619) is emblematic to her nature.
