To begin with, despite restricting communism, the embargo has only weakened the American economy by losing potential trade with Cuba and limiting jobs to American citizens due to Cuban immigrants seeking refuge. Since the infamous Fidel Castro rise to power, trade with foreign countries were no longer prioritized but still continued in a less substantial amount. The U.S could not accept that fact that their overall profit would diminish 20% however, their volatile action resulted in the loss of even more trading opportunities and progressively less money. However, the first trade Embargo placed on Cuba was October 19, 1960, and to this day, the U.S has lost more money with the Embargo than when Castro first came into power. The whole purpose of the embargo was to gain economic benefit, in fact, the U.S government only discourages a communist government because they can gain as much economic potential as Capitalist society’s. Even though the U.S’s willful nature and pride prevents them from compromising in the face of a so called enemy, converting Cuba into a Capitalist government has been proven unlikely for more than 55 years and will most likely be that way for years to come. The U.S should cut their losses and lift the Embargo in order to manifest a more opulent economic status rather than debilitating it. Furthermore, the Cuban Embargo puts Cuban citizens in desperation and leaves them worth no choice other than to seek refuge and that puts U.S citizens jobs on hold. The abolishment of the Embargo would not only provide American Citizens with jobs, however, put the Cuban people in a better position and results in the less likelihood of migration and potential death of the Cuban
