United States has always had a difficult time agreeing with Cuba and therefore, the Embargo Act was passed and since October 19, 1960 Cuba is not able to trade with other countries unless it is for medicine or food. The embargo is known as a blockade in which Cuba was not allowed to communicate with other countries under American jurisdiction. Many people believe the ban should be lifted and others think it should remain the way it is. The current president Barack Obama wants to lift the ban and wants to open relations with Cuba. The republican and democratic candidates for 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton both have very opposing claims when it concerns the Embargo Act on Cuba. To begin with, American has had the Embargo Act in effect for Cuba since 1960 and it is still on going today. Their are many reasons for America not lifting the ban on Cuba. Surprisingly, Donal Trump agrees with President Obama and believes it is a "Fine" decision to open the ban on Cuba. He believes fifty years is way more than enough and he thinks their should have been a stronger deal. Years ago, Donald Trump had a mind set of saying he would never do business with Cuba and now here he is saying he would create a relation with Cuba by enabling them to be lifted off the ban.
