So this is an Emu it isn't scary right? WRONG! It brought famine along with them.

November 2nd 1932 is when da great emu war begun . 5 feet tall and fast on their long legs they
made a living hell for some poor farmers. It was right after the great depression and ww1… like the war were the germans lost, oh thats every war nvm… i mean like the cool first war. The emus
showed up. The turkeys on stilts ran out of water and food from the drought so they headed west toward

With all of this happening
there was still problems with the population of the emus. During parts of when this was
happening there where many protests in the major cities about how they should stop killing the
emus inhumanely. Now you might think? “How do i kill an emu humanely” well they tried to poison
the emus. But that didn't go well for them, not many emus were killed during this test. Emus were difficult to kill, the soldiers said to kill them you had to be point blank behind there head and they had to have their mouths close to kill them. Then they didn't care anymore if it was humane, they were like, you know what ppl, we are helping our way, you don't want help do it yourself, so they were like oh ok nevermind you can kill them.
Short and long term impact-
The emus caused a rather decent portion of land to be trampled. There where people asking for
them to do more, even a farmer asked the government to bomb a mob of emus that were on his
farm. But it was understandable on why they had requested them to do such, there was a mob
