In the novel,“This Boy’s Life” written by Tobias Wolff, presented an experience of a young boy, and displayed certain events which have made him a stronger individual. However, the life of young Jack Wolff wasn’t always that easy for him.... .Objectifying the stabilization of what home truly is. As Jack continues to move across the country with his mother Rosemary. Both of them, can't seem to find any reason to stay in one place and just settle. Making the process easier to move on to the next...It would seem like the importance of home was really insignificant for them. One after the other, kept them alive. As Jack has no other option, he is moved up North to live with his Mom’s current boyfriend, Dwight. Dwight and Jack barely have spoken at the beginning of his relationship with Rosemary. She ignores the fact the her child and her boyfriend (soon-to-be caretaker of Jack) are practically strangers. She's only focuses on the positives outcomes. The outcomes that are beneficial to Jack and herself. Jack feels betrayed by this because the only family he has left, is leaving him. He’s too young to understand but it's for the better good. However, Jack still blames her. As Jack’s last family member drifts away for a time being, he's isolated with Dwight's’ family. In his new home, he finds himself to be unwelcomed. This “New Home” does not portray itself from Jack’s perspective. When in doubt his new home is considered to be shared with Dwight. He disregards the fact the they are living under the same roof.
