Today, society guides the young generation to become materialistic, deprived of spiritual growth, and set on a communal course. However, our goal is to guide the youth in the opposite direction. Located in Sunrise Lakes, Yosemite, the National Institute of Transcendentalism is a private university based on transcendentalist ideals with a mission to develop society’s students into well-rounded individuals. At the Institute, students will learn the importance of self-reliance, individualism, and spirituality. Our purpose is to inspire students to question social reforms and achieve self-reliance with practical and theoretical learning. Each dorm building has two floors, both floors with 10 rooms. Each room will house two students to align our transcendental views of promoting individualism. The cafeteria is a lakeside cafeteria that resides partially on a Sunrise Lake. There,the students can enjoy their meals while appreciating the simplistic beauty of nature.. Students can choose and pick up their lunch from buffet style steamed tables and eat at tables in and out of the cafeteria. In order to create such a facility, the school will need a total of 23 million dollars. However we believe as transcendentalists, that education should transcend money. In order to align our school’s philosophy to the budget, we plan to give our students the opportunity of education without the intention of profit. Therefore student tuition will be $25,000 which will include not only classes but also dorming, meal plans, and living expenses per year. These funds will be used for supplies, faculty salaries, as well as for bills. Our professors’ salaries will be approximately $12,000 to $15,000 per year because as transcendentalists, it is our belief that the chosen faculty should portray transcendentalist ideas to act as examples for our
