President Andrew Jackson might get replaced by a group of women on the $20 bill. According the article, “Women on 20’s Group Pushes to Replace Andrew Jackson on $20 Bill, there is a group of people who believe that Jackson should be replaced. One of the reasons has to do with the fact that “Jackson helped pass a set of laws that forced Native American tribes off their lands.” There was a list of 100 replacements for President Jackson. “More the 256,000 votes were cast to select the candidates” says Susan Ades Stone, the woman in charge of this project. The list was further cut down to 60 names and a survey was used to cut the list to 30. Even after all that they still needed to slice the list down more. This is the name given to the forced removal of Native Americans from their lands. They are probably the most recognizable names, and the ones that have been taught, to some degree,in schools,” Stone said. These women are heroes in American History and, according to Stone, “people want somebody who has touched everyone’s
