Although junk food is unhealthy, schools should be able to sell junk food. Not selling junk food has caused schools to lose money. It has kids finding food elsewhere. Banning junk food doesn’t let kids make their own decisions. These are reasons why schools should sell junk food again. Below I have explained the reasons.
Although junk food is unhealthy, schools should be able to sell junk food because schools are losing a lot of money. For example, according to Seattle’s school board, they are losing a lot of money because kids don’t want to eat the healthy food they provide. “The thought of banning junk food in schools makes me fear for the generation of adults these children will become. A walking, talking cast of zombies, unable to think for themselves or make judgments about their boundaries. A generation of adults, so used to restrictions that the tiniest chance of rebellion makes them cast aside all their inhibitions. A generation unable to educate their own children about nutrition because they never learned to make their own choices.” Shauna Anderson says. Kids should be able to make their own decisions and learn to make good choices. If schools just ban junk food from schools, they’ll never get to decide what they wanna do and that doesn’t help them learn anything. Schools should sell junk food in school so the students can choose to eat it or not. In conclusion, schools should sell junk food in schools.
