When receiving an essay assignment it is sometimes best to lay out all the work that has to be done and then make an outline of what you need to complete. You have to take certain things into consideration and make sure that you included everything. The outline will act as your checklist and once you check everything off you know you are done. The advice I would give the student is to find a good poster that is easy to analyze and has a clear audience that it is reaching out to. This will give the student more to write about and can focus topics to a certain crowd. The list of goals the teacher gave the student is a great way to begin your outline and it gives the student a great starting point. Since this is a formal paper the student needs to be careful with his diction and make sure not to use slang in his writing. Next the student can begin writing and working on his or her introduction. The introduction can be the most important part of the whole essay, because it is what pulls the audience in. If the introduction is not any good it could bore the audience and cause them to stop reading.
