The Essentialness of Hunting Although a lot of people hunt as a way of living, many people believe that hunters are inhumane and cruel. Walt Disney’s movie Bambi has made children believe at such a young age that hunters are murderers and they vowed never to kill a living animal. With Walt’s movies he has people believing that the animals are kind, harmless animals that don’t deserve to die. He has corrupted the young minds of our children with these tales and is one of the main reasons we have such controversy on this topic. A lot of farmers hunt as a way to be able to protect their crops because animals will totally destroy a farmer’s crop. Wildlife really does not care what kind of crop it is, from hay for livestock to produce for the people; all they see is a source of food for their consumption. If the United States let the animal population grow out of control it would hurt everyone, because the wildlife would totally destroy the entire crop that farmers grow. With all these crops being destroyed people would not be able to find produce, feed for their livestock, and a lot of people would be out of work. Hunting also prevent unnecessary injures like car accidents, but others believe without hunting that there would be less of these injuries. They just need to swallow their pride and acknowledge that hunting is necessary to keep down the rapidly growing population of wildlife. Wildlife is constantly destroying so many things and will just continue to if they are not contained. It has come to the point that everyone need to put aside their biased beliefs about hunter and hunting, and understand that hunting is not only benefiting the hunter but the animals and environment too. No one is asking anyone to validate hunting, to just understand that hunting is the only way to keep down the forever-growing population. Work Cited
