Catholicism is defined as a system of laws and principles that are there to be followed so that all members of the church can achieve a common goal that is then enforced by the members of authority in the church. Catholics have strict laws that need to follow as they believe that if one lives an acceptable life here on Earth one will get into Heaven but if a catholic believer does not do so, one will not get into Heaven. The Catholic Laws are (Healthcarechaplaincy.org, 2018): • Avoid any dangerous and tempting conversations, thoughts, occasions, or appointments. • Right to human life • Dietary Needs As a medical practitioner it is important to communicate to the Catholic patient to identify the patients religious level as their demands might differ from another Catholic patient and therefore a medical practitioner must do what the patient finds appropriate.
