Catholicism is defined as a system of laws and principles that are there to be followed so that all members of the church can achieve a common goal that is then enforced by the members of authority in the church. Catholics have strict laws that need to follow as they believe that if one lives an acceptable life here on Earth one will get into Heaven but if a catholic believer does not do so, one will not get into Heaven.
