Some of the ethical issues that management may need to address include corporate social responsibility. This refers to the operation of a business or organization in a manner that takes into consideration the environmental and social aspects created by enterprise. It implies the commitment to create policies that include responsible practices in the undertakings of the entity. Corporate social responsibility policies serve as self-regulatory measures for the organization in monitoring and ensuring that it complies with ethical standards, regulations and societal norms. A negative organizational culture encourages the employees to act unethically which results in problems within the organization. A positive organizational culture, on the other hand, encourages employees to act in ethical and responsible ways, which promotes the performance of the organization. Organizational culture are the shared values and beliefs established by the organization and adopted by the employees. This culture is reinforced with various methods and it shapes the understanding, behaviour and the perceptions of the employees. The effectiveness of any organization is reliant on incorporating ethical consideration into its organizational culture. Failure to include ethics will often result in problems within the organization because of lack of moral leadership and discipline. For a non-profit organization, such as the World Food Program, both ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility issues are essential in the performance of the organization. Similarly, for a public entity, such as the Environmental Protection Authority, these issues also affect the organizations activities. The use of inventory of public management skills in evaluation assists in identifying the level of individual development in various skills. This inventory of skills helps identify specific skills, which are necessary to help leaders become more successful. These skills include self-management, interpersonal communications, problem management, consultation and organizational development. My self-management skills include a focus on the present issues, awareness of the external environment, holding consistent beliefs and values, setting realistic goals and time management. My interpersonal communications skills include self-disclosure, maintaining a good image, being objective, assertiveness, active listening and understanding others. Problem management skills include empathy, properly exploring the problem, specifying the problem, setting realistic timelines to deal with the problem, helping other to have a different perspective of the problem by providing my views, planning and implementation. My skills aimed at organizational development involve the assessment of available option s to find a better approach, changing behaviour when necessary, assessment of appropriate communication strategies and assessment of other skills that match development objectives. Some activities that might improve my overall skills include consultation and counselling
