Authors paragraph:
The story was written in 1856. He lived in new york when he published his short story in the New York Times. He was an American novelist, short story writer, and poet of the American Renaissance period. Is it simply a comment on the oddities of human nature? I would say he understood what he was writing, because he understood what writing was, a means for expressing the ideas of a unique, individual mind.

Literally perspective:
The story is written in 1st person, and tells about himself and about the others that he works with, so it 's a combination of the two. You know this because it tells the story from the lawyer 's point of view but then later goes on and tells the story and what other people are thinking also. …show more content…

There is also a few times where the author uses some Euphemism, he says things like don 't be a screwball, instead of just don 't be an idiot. The imagery of the story is definitely taking place, the author shows that Bartleby is sitting in a room in the office looking out the window and basically that 's all he does from the rest of the story, he goes to jail, and still is just looking out of his prison cell . How the work was organized was a few different ways, the story had a lot of cause and affect, the man was working and over worked, and became crazy. The effect of that would be he went to jail where he spends his time now. What evidence does the writing use to support his claim/writing? Well i would have to say that he may not of given facts and statistics, but he may of seen this happen, it’s not hard to see this in the world. My grandma’s boyfriend has cancer, and he worked for Ag Valley for years, and he was fired from there because they seen that he wasn 't going to get better and let him go, but this is about the story not me.
