For example, inflation caused the capitalism’s popularity to rise, new goods were discovered, and European empires thrived. As the Europeans discovered, the Americas contained many resources such as silver, gold, spices, and other valuable goods that were sold to make a surplus of profit. Europe was able to conquer and explore the rest of the world, an not anyone else not because of a superior economic status, but because of of its geographic location and because of its political strategies. Europe was economically superior to some places, but others such of China were as good, or if not than even better than Europe. After the contact of the Native Americans with the Europeans, everything changed. The Native Americans would come into contact with many Europeans and see new crops and animals that would help them survive. When the Europeans came over they think they can convert the Native Americans to Christians which involves more people coming over. This remained mostly unchanged during this time since Europeans had no need to look for other sources of profit.

Despite the consequences, the trade connected the world closer than ever before. A main reason why Europeans colonized the New World with such swiftness and determination lay in the drinks of nobles and the soil of peasants. Sugar was in high demand during the 1500s and 1600s, and the fertile coasts of the Carribean and Brazil made for a perfect environment. Sugar cane was just the tip of the iceberg: Europeans soon discovered crops native to the Americas that heavily impacted world economy, a prime example being the potato.
The biggest social effect of modern imperialism was huge labor migrations. Specifically, Europeans migrated to temperate lands where they cultivated crops or worked in industry. On the other hand, Asian, African, and Pacific Islander migrants went to subtropical and tropical areas to become indentured laborers or overworked miners. The reason for this geographical split is imperialism. Europeans were able to move to colonies under European rule in temperate regions or American (32 million Europeans came to the U.S.).
