Fly Away Home! Being responsible at a young age is hard, especially when you live in an airport with only your dad and your best friend. Well that’s how Andrew has to live. In the story “Fly away home” by Eve Bunting, I think that Andrew is responsible. He is responsible because he is careful, smart, and very brave. The easiest thing to see out of Andrew when it comes to how responsible he is, it’s that he is so careful. I mean come on, Andrew and his dad don’t even sit next to each other when they sleep. when it comes to sleeping in an airport I would like to sleep by my parents. Admit it, sleeping alone in an airport would be pretty scary. On top of Andrew not being able to sleep by his dad, he also has to sit up when he sleeps so it looks like he is waiting for a plane. That had to take a while to get use to that, especially when you are sleeping sitting up every night. I can’t even fall asleep sitting up. Being able to know your situation at that age and still work hard and stay strong is hard. To add on to that, he works hard to earn money for his dad and him.
