Without the occurrence, advancements, changes and inventions in history our world would be different today. Our history changed lives and the world itself. The World War II had been the most widespread and deadliest war of all time. From the major ways in which World War II was fought in the different fronts and theaters of the war to the post-war settlement that established international institutions such as the United Nations that profoundly shaped Europe and the world itself. Not to mention, that there was an immediate post-war period that contributed to the emergence of the Cold War. All these events occurred and has created the world we live in today.
With the attack of the Pearl Harbor by the Japanese in 1941 the United States was forced into World War II. World War II was the fought of many fronts and theaters of the war. In addition, the Asia-pacific war front dragged the United States like mentioned earlier. No to mention, the allied forces fought Germany during the European theater known as the Second European war, where the holocaust took place. Europe was completely shattered into pieces especially having to deal with the Nazi criminals. This also helped shape Europe in many ways after the postwar efforts were made to rebuild the shattered economy that Europe had. The United States helped rebuild Western Europe with the Marshall Plan a program that lasted until 1952. During the rebuilding of Europe, Truman had become president when the United States had invited Allied delegates to discuss postwar world. At the end of the conference, the delegates had come up with two major financial institutions the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The World Bank simply helped stimulate development in third world countries meanwhile the IMF helped regulate exchange rates. Later tensions rose as the Cold War slowly
