Adventures can take us places. Whether just across the river or all the way to the moon, we long for adventure. Exploration allows the human race to discover new frontiers. Advancements have been made in all fields of science by taking huge risks and leaps. How are humans supposed to create and invent without first knowing what they can do? Mt. Everest is no different. The high cliffs and peak of the mountain have attracted explorers for over a century. If it’s unexplored, humans will find a way to explore it. This is why, no matter who they are, people all over the world should be allowed to scale Everest. First of all, risks allow humans to explore and push past their limits. It’s in our human nature to push past the limits and prove people wrong. For example, the invention of airplanes was at one time considered one of the most dangerous things that a human could do. A big hunk of metal propelling through the clouds? Impossible! Yet the Wright brothers had still proven them wrong in late 1903. These people making the journey to the glistening stone peak aren’t always just any old people. The trip to Everest is extremely costly. The price of a guided tour up the mountain can cost a climber upwards of $85,000. That doesn’t even include the almost $3,000 dollar cost for flights from the US to Nepal. These people that want to go put in much time and energy into this journey. Certain organizations may provide help as well. The people that want something will fight for what they want. If it’s someone’s dream to accomplish something, it’s human nature to help them get to that.
