Why should I take you ?
“ The day was beautiful, as you start the hike you get a rush of excitement of seeing turquoise waters and seeing one of the most beautiful place in the world. This is in your mind as you start your twelve mile hike in the Grand Canyon , you think to yourself that after all of the hard work you put in to reach your goal of coming on this trip, has finally payed off. That is what you feel when you are accepted to go on the LEL. I have felt it before and this year i think it's going to be different because i am am leaving the state on this trip. I have never gone out of Califirnia and now that I have this opportunity of going to a beautiful place called The Grand Canyon. Also this process of applying to this LEL is very similar to getting a job and applying to a college, in my opinion this could help me in the future. The way students act on this trip is something very important and my behavior on this trip will be responsible, respectful, and I will participate throughout this trip. That is why I believe I should have the opportunity to go to this year's LEL.

It is very hard for me to leave the state because I come from a undocumented parents. Also my parents don't spend time with me because my parents are always working and they don't have time to travel with me. Being out is very expensive and traveling out of state in a car or plane can be very expensive and hotels and attractions are very hard to find and to attend and my parents are low income payed people and they are unable to take me on very expensive like the Grand Canyon.
