Everyday use is a very interesting short story. Everyday use was written by a very creative writer which is Alice Walker. In this short story, there was four main characters. First the mouther, Acts as narrator of the story. She is also known as Mrs. Johnson, and she described herself as a strong woman who have strong hands and strong feet. Second, Maggie she is the dull daughter who is not attractive and incent. Maggie play a role as the young misfortunate sister because her hands got burned by the fire and now she think that she is ugly. Third, Dee who changed her real name to Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo or Wangero for short. Dee is the oldest daughter and she was the educated one. However, Dee was not a very nice person because she forgot that the ones whom educated her was her family by supporting her with her education. In the dream she imagined that her daughter will say amazing things about her and that she could not do anything without the help of her mother.
