The need for land became such a necessity that logical compromise was no longer an option. On Laziness Through generalization, hyperbolic anecdotes, and a sarcastic, snooty, and ironic tone, Christopher Morley’s “On Laziness” clearly acknowledges the shortcoming of laziness. The writing persuades the readers to elude from indolence and lethargy by conveying the strategy of reverse psychology. Rather than Morley bluntly telling the readers his purpose, he discretely drops many hints, until the reader's registered that his supposed purpose couldn’t possibly be correct. Particularly, the author used ironical tone to further verify his explanation and to convince people of his argument that laziness is a deficient habit that individuals must stop over-identifying with.
Homeroom Reflection Junior year I have grown as a student this semester by watching the mala movie. This has helped me grow as a student because it showed me how just one voice can change so much in a community. From this experience I learned how Mala was an ordinary girl but who ones spoke up for what she believed was right for her community and the people all around her. After she started to change her community on a positive way for example, have more schools so students can have an education and making sure girls were able to attend school more often. Therefore, when she spoke up for what she thought was right and changed people 's life there was some who didn 't appreciate what she was doing so decided to shot her and ended up shooting her on her forehead.
Critical Analysis of Quantitative Research Articles Quantitative nursing research is a systematic inquiry of the empirical evidence, collection, and analysis of numeric information conducted within scientific methods in order to examine relationships between two variables of interest, and thus, establish grounds for evidence-based nursing practice (Loiselle, 2011). This paper will attempt to critically analyze two quantitative research articles: “Learning with older people--outcomes of a quasi-experimental study” by Koskinen, Salminen, Puukka, & Leino-Kilpi (2016) and “Impact of a stand-alone course in gerontological nursing on undergraduate nursing students' perceptions of working with older adults: A quasi-experimental study” by Koehler,
Organized and Disorganized Killers Organized Killers Organized killers, such as Dennis Rader, are people we may see or know. They are our neighbors, family members, friends, co-workers. They are mostly highly intelligent with above average skills they use to plan the murder and its stages. Their methodical plans stand out when investigators are piecing the puzzle left by the serial killer. (Canter, Alison, Alison, & Wentink 2004)
Much like a stand-up comedian reels in his audience with crude, sarcastic humor, Christopher Morley catches his audience’s attention using irony and sarcasm. Morley illustrates laziness as salutary to humanity. There is a common logic that if you do not like to do something, do not do it well. Many people will not have someone complete a certain task if they know they will do it poorly. In his article, “On Laziness,” Morley uses this idea to illustrate how laziness itself can make people happier and advance them in life while also benefitting the world as a whole.
Possessing the ability to see the important and useful at a glance and thereby discarding the unimportant and useless allows the neat freak to zero in on key issues and begin work immediately while the slob next door is searching high and low for the upcoming project specifications. The neat freak has already begun to gather supplies and materials from his well appointed home office, meanwhile our slob next door has gotten side tracked by a pile of high school prom photographs. The glories of neatness shine through as each task and appointment is attended and carefully checked off the day’s
Commonly known to be detrimental not only to a specific person but also to the society as a whole, laziness is viewed to be a beneficial and critical aspect in people’s lives by Christopher Morley. Morley alludes to examples with concession and contrasts, cites biological and social evidences and elaborately uses rhetoric languages to establish the idea that laziness is actually valuable personality. He persuades his audience with logical and enlightening tone. Morley opens his essay by point out some biological and social fact.
Explain the difference between a centralized organization and a decentralized organization. A centralized organization generally relies on a single person or a very small, select group of people to make the decisions for the rest of the organization to follow. Pertaining to criminal justice, this would be a national police force under the federal government or, in the more extreme cases, under a single totalitarian leader. Examples of nations with a centralized police force are Israel, Denmark, Belgium, and Sweden, where centralization has seen some success (Berkley, 1970). Contrarily, examples of centralization could also be found in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and fascist Italy and Spain (Berkley, 1970).
Not only does this rule make for a more organized environment, but also teaches us at a young age that our messes are not the responsibilities of others. It could be said that

The foundation being the To-Do List, and whatever else was implemented only serve to complement and make it better. According to Mind Tools (n.d.), procrastination is a habit that cannot be broken overnight. It requires constant restrain. Hence, using as many approaches can increase the chance of breaking it.
Who really wants to do things that are difficult, challenging, uncomfortable, tedious, hard, or boring? Here is our dilemma: we procrastinate because, as "immediate gratification" people we enjoy the short-lived pleasure of not doing what we don't want to do. We get to stay in our comfort zones and avoid the pain we dislike feeling. However, by doing so, we create longer-term, more severe conditions,
