Do you have an acquaintance of a different race that you first found challenging to talk to? In the beginning, it gets tough to understand their way of life, as we all grow up differently depending on what type of culture our generations have developed. In some situations, problems may occur when getting to know them due to the significant differences in growing up. In the film "Enemy Mine," a human named Willis Davidge meets Jeriba “Jerry” Shigan, who is a part of the Drac race. Both are notably different in their appearance and language. They faced a language barrier and struggled to communicate in order to survive. Whenever Jerry ate food that resembled a green slug, Willis could not bear to look at or taste it, but he was starving and had no choice but to accept the offer. The human, on the other hand, would be stubborn towards the “alien” in the thought that he was of a different race. This shows an example of the allegory of race because to Jerry, it was decent food but distinct from the meals Willis had during his time with humans. Jerry's way of surviving was dissimilar to human life as they both lived on different planets and people. Willis was constantly being impudent towards Jerry.
