Being prepared and organized help to maintain a good positive image, which is part of being a good role model. My leadership could be attributed to the many years I have been in voluntary work. Also, I am involved in extracurricular activities such as varsity soccer, membership in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), key club, and Family Career and Community Leader of America (FCCLA). FBLA and FCCLA have given me the opportunity to see the business world and to lead as president of the organizations and key club has provided me with opportunities to be a great volunteer and gain community involvement. Some of these opportunities include working with the elderly at the local nursing home and assisting with local food pantry.
This includes teaching children from kindergarten to 6th graders to learn how to hit the ball, to proper have a better form, and to have fun during the camp. This leadership inspire me to become compassion and help people grow to learn new things. Another demonstration of leadership is when I join a tennis team in high school. To me, leadership during tennis is to know your team and yourself better because it can set the team to become successful. This also means helping other achieve the impossible.
I have developed leadership qualities when my Tae Kwon Do coach trusted me to lead our team during national championships. This has led me to then hold various leadership positions in undergraduate and dental school clubs. Moreover, my critical thinking abilities have excelled from being a mathematics and physics tutor. Tutoring has always challenged me to think outside the box in complicated problems, and this would allow me to use my creative skills when facing complex cases in my field. Persistence is another key element that is crucial in success.
One leadership experience I had was through my athletics at my high school. Every year, our high school volleyball program hosts a camp for young girls to come learn and develop her volleyball skills, as well as do arts and crafts and make new friends. As a varsity player, we all were assigned a different group of girls to be in charge of. We also were given a junior varsity player to help us. I became a leader in this area because I was more experinced and organized.

He records attendance and dues payments of all troop members and records advancement in troop records and on the troop advancement chart.” After that, I ascended into becoming a Patrol Leader and then acting as a Senior Patrol Leader, the highest youth leader of the troop, handling all patrols’ affairs and coordinating with the Scoutmaster for advice and consent.

I am evolved with volunteering at various events through the Interact club here at MHS. By volunteering within the town it gives me good morals. It teaches me to always give back to my community, but it is rewarding to help people in need. My leadership skills shines when I babysit. It is a huge responsibility to make sure a child, or sometimes an infant is safe at all times.
Similar to LeVerne Payne, I served at an after school program for at-risk children and youth called The Master’s Workshop. I spent my time leading them in group activities, crafts, sports, music and a designated homework time. One of the greatest limitations I found myself facing in this role was a division in the power of authority. I am still looking for more opportunities to show my leadership and through NHS, I am hopeful I can accomplish that. One moment that showed my role as a leader, was mentoring the younger team of a sport I came to love recently. Lacrosse has become a passion of mine in a short period, I devote many hours to the sport to become an advert team player. I started building connections and friendships with younger players; we both would connect on the sport as I showed my love for it, and being able to help them out. Another leadership role that I demonstrate is being the section leader for my orchestra class.
My robotics team and myself had to work together to create a robot that would complete tasks specified by the First Tech Challenge. We had to work together to decide what we wanted to achieve, and create a design to accomplish those goals. In particular, I worked a lot with the other programmer on our team because we were both new to the process and had to teach each other, as well as ourselves, many aspects of programming. This helps to prove that I am able to work well with others, listening to what they have to say as well as sharing my own thoughts and ideas. I believe that a good leader is able to work with others as well as work alone.
Most juniors in government at Point Park aren’t usually in a position where they are responsible for an entire student body and administration. As for Blake King that is not the case. The 20-year-old and Philadelphia native spoke to a group of students about his presidency on Monday. As King nears the midpoint of his first presidency of USG, he still has goals he wants to implement for the remainder of his term. King wants to reconnect students, help clubs/activities, and find a way to connect with commuter students.
Leadership plays a large role in these activities. I show leadership in group work by taking charge and ensuring everyone is doing their part in it. I try and make sure one person is not doing all the work. In the classroom I show leadership by paying attention and turning all the assessments in on time. People say being polite and having manners will help you in life.
It is my responsibility to be organized, willing to work well with others, takes initiative, and having a positive attitude. During my time in the field, I had a pleasure of working with 3rd graders. I learned to be a long life learner. Everyday, I was challenged my students to learn something new. It was important to me to make a difference.
