Life is full of defining moments. It 's crazy to think that one moment can have an impact on the rest of your life. Life is full of pain, loss, hurt, loneliness, confusion, and so many other things that are meant to break you down. Life was tearing me down, then everything changed.
July 27, 2016 around 10:30 AM was one of the most defining moments in my life. I met Kaitlyn Marie Tobben, a beautiful girl that instantly stole my heart. Every day for the next week I found myself waiting by the phone in hopes she would text me and that maybe she would give me a chance. Plans didn’t exactly go how i 'd hoped, but I knew I couldn’t give up. I watched her suffer for months and months and I prayed everyday that I could take all of her pain away. She was abused by an asshole who stole her mind, virginity, and sense of trust. I could hear her screaming plain as day, and I knew that God wanted me to keep fighting. On December 19,2016 I got into a car wreck and as bad as everything was, I had so how happened to gain more than I had ever lost. I had gained a chance just to talk to her again. I was so nervous, I remember trying to just make jokes the whole time we were eating to try and keep the laughs coming, but I knew this was my one shot. We drove around all night long and after a couple songs I finally gathered up the courage to hold her hand. When her hand was interlocked with mine it was the greatest feeling in the world. I knew from that moment that I could never let go. As we finally got back to Steak n’ Shake parking lot I told her that I was only getting out if she came and opened my door, she opened my door and when I got out her and I shared the kiss of a lifetime.
