Each day we are faced with the opportunity to believe and tell many stories. when you were younger you were probably told stories about Saint Nick, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. As a kid, these stories serve a purpose to teach something and to give hope. As adults the stories ease the pain of a subject or to get us through a hard time. An example might be a mother that has lost a son in a tragic accident will never be told by the doctor that her son died in pain, but the doctor might say he died peacefully.

Thomas King strengthens his argument by giving a detailed example that better, proves what he is trying to say. He tells a story about the moment he discovered what happened to his father, which I believe answered a lot of questions in his life. The author's father left when he was a little boy. The father remarried two more times, had seven more children who never knew that the authors nor his brother existed until the day of all their father's funeral.

In his essay Superman and Me Alexie conveys anyone can accomplish their goals, he does this by using the rhetorical devices anecdote, ethos, and anaphora. Alexie utilizes personal anecdotes throughout the essay to demonstrate how he has overcome the odds. In the beginning he discussed how he was introduced to reading, then conveys the extent of his effort towards reading and how it has assisted him in becoming a successful writer.
Caleb Corkery is an Associate Professor of English who wrote “Literacy Narratives and Confidence Building in the Writing Classroom.” In his article, he discusses the positive and negative affects student writers have about writing literacy narratives. Correspondingly, in “Heroes, Rebels, and Victims: Student Identities in Literacy Narratives,” by Bronwyn Williams, who also is a professor of English, she conveys the idea that through literacy narratives, the writer can develop a sense of identity through their work. Through the comparison of Corkery and Williams’ articles about literacy narratives, and through my own literacy narrative writing experience, I do agree with these two authors’ assertions that writing these literacy narratives are
Describe a time when you overcame a serious challenge. Explain the details of the situation and how you handled things and worked through things. A serious challenge I have faced is growing up with my grandparents. While most people say that I’m so lucky for it there is a lot they don’t know.
Visual storytelling comes with many different media suchs as films, theatre and animation. All of them have one thing in common, which is telling a story through visuals, showing the audience what we want to tell. Even a photograph can tell a story. In visual storytelling there are many elements that brings it to life, for instance the characters. Great characters can carry the whole story as we are seeing it unfold through them.
Made new friends and everything became much easier for me. The moral of this story was about moving to a new country and not knowing the language and the culture. When moving to a new country It won't be the same country you were back home. Its totally different. When coming to a new country you have to adopt with the new culture.
