The American dream is when someone strives to make a dream come true through dedication, hard work, being happy, and trying their hardest in everything they do In Gatsby The story shows failure through Gatsby's life with his love and friendships to try and achieve his American Dream. The American Dream is an opportunity made up of success all in a person’s life for them to accomplish as much as they can in the time of their lifespan. Gatsby had mostly everything handed down to him from his parents passing away but after that he still worked hard with the money to keep enough for living and he had a good life with friends.
