In the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, there was a false accusation against Tom Robinson for rape. Along with that, he was a man of color. Which is still a problem to this day. The false accusations can be anything from breaking and entering to murder it all depends on who is telling the truth and what does the evidence bring to the case.

In To Kill A Mockingbird, there was a character by the name Tom Robinson who was a man of color and a man who was sentenced to death for nothing except for being wrongly convicted. He was falsely accused of rape, but he was in a woman’s house with the consent and she came on him. Then he left the house while the father came home and “saw his daughter beaten”. During his trial, we came to learn that Tom was crippled.
