Is Charlie Gordon Better off before or after the surgery? Charlie Gordon was better off after the surgery more then before. He was better off because Charlie got to learn harder words and his vocabulary developed. He learned how to read at a faster pace then before, he learned who his true friends were and got some lost memories back.

He has a surgery, risking his life. There are highs and lows waiting for him the minute the surgery is complete.
They failed Algernon by causing him death. They failed Charlie by not keeping his intelligent that he got him his surgery. Charlie was treated as Algernon. Algernon was a mouse, and Charlie is a human being,
In the story known as “Charles,” there are two main protagonists, Charles and Laurie. But what if foreshadowing convinces us that Charles and Laurie aren’t two separate people, but are one and the same. An example of foreshadowing occurs when Laurie’s mom states that Laurie had to think before he told his mom about his first day of kindergarten. Even though he is forgetting how to read and write and he is getting depressed, he powers through the depression. On the last page he says “im taking a cuple of books along and even if i cant reed them ill practise hard and maybe i wont forget every thing i learned.
Imagine knowing that you were going to be killed within the next few days. But you don’t know how. Paranoia. Schizophrenia. Maybe even insanity.
Foreshadowing is throughout the whole play. They give hints as to what is going to happen and it is like the characters are seeing or predicting their own fate. A few weeks after the operations, Charlie knew that his brain was shrinking because he started to do research on Algernon who had received the same operations.
However, after the surgery, Charlie finds intelligence was a nice treat but was far from an importance in life and only took him away from what truly mattered. One could believe Charlie was wrong to undergo the surgery because of the side effects that came with the surgery such as physical and emotional instability, and amnesia, the depresion it came with, and how he lost all of his friends and loved ones with his extreme intelligence. Charlie Gordon starts to catch on to the symptoms of his operation and knowing that included on the list is death. He begins to catch on after Algernon dies, stating “I have become absent minded. Algernon died two days ago.” (Keyes) Charlie now understands that this will soon become his reality, too.

Iago makes an aggressive effort to persuade Othello that his wife has been unfaithful. As a result, Othello contemplates whether or not to believe him, but ultimately determines that “to be once in doubt/Is (-- removed HTML --) to be resolved” (III.iii.210-211). At first, Othello rejects this notion of jealousy as he believes he has nothing to be insecure about, “for [Desdemona] had eyes, and chose [him].” (III.iii.220).
Agamemnon Plot: The play begins with the watchman is keeping lookout for the signal indicating the fall of Troy to the Greeks. The chorus then enters and begins to tell us how the Trojan Prince, Paris, stole Helen the wife of Menelaus which then caused a ten year war. The Queen then appears letting the Chorus aware of the falling of Troy and orders sacrifices. There is a terrible storm which causes Menelaus, King Agamemnon, and many others missing. Then a guy Calchas claims it's the work of one of the gods and the sacrifice of Agamemnon's daughter was necessary to bring the winds that are needed to get to Troy.
