The story “The Canterbury Tales” by Geoffrey Chaucer talks about a guy named Pardoner. The author uses Pardoner to explain different themes of the story. Pardoner is one whom you can go to for forgiveness of your sins but with a price that was meant for him. He has yellow hair like wax that hangs smoothly like a hank of flax. Towards the back of his head were his locks that felt like rat tails and fell all the way down to his shoulders. His eyes are bulging like a hare an his voice is as small as a goat. Pardoner has a wallet that holds his cap but doesn’t wears a hood for fun. Overall he is one that you can look at know he has money but only through greediness. The poor pays to the church but little they know Pardoner takes the money for himself. He preaches like a normal pastor would, like Pardoner preaches about greedy people an how you shouldn’t be greedy but he himself steals from the poor for himself. Greed is excessive or rapacious desire, especially for wealth or possessions. By him forgiving the poor like he is God but they have to pay is greedy, cause those sins aren’t really forgiven so the poor are just losing their money. They have fun all day long an all night. After some fun they get bold an eat and drink more than they can hold.
