221 Words1 Pages
The Odyssey by Homer tells the story of a man named Odysseus who fought in the Trojan War. It’s based around his travels and what travels he had to embark on to get back to his beloved home of Ithaca. Before making his way there a sea nymph, Calypso, kept him for seven years before letting him go by orders of Zeus. On his way back, his crew and him encountered challenging things. Odysseus seems to be able to get them out of those situations. A part in the beginning of the selection describes him as ‘guile’ which is synonymous to the word cunning. He knows just what to say and do to get his way in a tricky situation. In conclusion, I noticed a lot throughout this story. The main one being that Odysseys is cunning, and brave, and intelligent.
