The Economic of Happiness Some people in this world say we are attracted and find our happiness towards things we find most important to in our lives which are considered Economic Concepts. In the book, “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald, it shows great examples with multiple types of Economic Concepts that make up the book as a whole. Without these concepts being used in the book, the story couldn’t be told the same. Even though the book is a fairytale, it can still relate to the real world. Overall, happiness and love comes from Economic Concepts that describes us truly.

The first concept of many has to do with wealth and personal attractiveness. When Gatsby informed Nick why Daisey left him for Tom Buchanan; he tells him “She had a debut after the Armistice, and in February she premarried Tom Buchanan of …show more content…

Since Gatsby left for the war, Daisey soon felt lonely and fell in love with Toms fame and popularity in Louisville and shortly got married. This is a perfect example of an Economic Concept of wealth and attractiveness because Daisey basically fell in love with Tom’s wealth and reputation instead of his trueself. Once Gatsby got shipped home from the war he immediately finds a way to get Daisy back. Gatsby’s big plan to steal her back had to do with showing off his wealth and fame just as Tom Buchanan did. As Gatsby gives Nick and Daisy a tour of his mansion, it made Daisey “admire the gardens, the sparkling odor of jonquils and the pale golden odor of kiss-me-at-the-gate “(96). Giving Daisy a tour of his house immediately made her feel strong about his luxury and made her fall in love with him again. This is another example of wealth and personal attractiveness because of the way she was influenced by his mansion and fame that made her fall for him once again. When it comes to the real world and the Economic Concept of wealth and personal attractiveness,
