Humans and heroes alike have weaknesses, but knowing how to deal with them and grow can forge a strong heart. The Odyssey was written by a man named Homer around the 7th century BC. This story follows a man named Odysseus through his journey back from the Trojan war, and how he makes his choices through different perils with his crew. The role of a hero is to show bravery, courage, and leadership. Throughout the story, Odysseus’ heroism is shown through his bravery, his cleverness, and his will to do good. To begin, Odysseus shows his bravery throughout the story and his many adventures.
