One’s innocence is continually put at risk. Risk of being impacted. Risk of being criticised. And as anyone raising a kid, they want the innocence of their child to remain for as long as possible. That could be impacted by family, the environment around them, and even the very school they go to for education. The Finch family are all very close and play a big role in how each other’s innocence is impacted. Atticus tries to teach but also show them lessons that involve them seeing different perspectives but also getting to know their own and have their own opinion on things and how they work, but also learning respect. “I’m going to tell you something, and tell you one more time: stop tormenting that man.
