In the book Into thin air, a few groups of climbers attempt to climb Mt. Everest. The group of expeditions made unwise dissection that caused people to get bad injuries and even death. Jon Krakuaer had made a few dumb mistake errors himself too he was the cause of Andy Harris and the horrible amputations of Beck Weathers. The hard stress of being a journalist for the mountain guides like Scott Fischer and Rob Hall. The death and the major bad injury couldn’t have happened if Jon Krakuaer had made smart decisions.
Jon Krakuaer had more experience on climbing mountain in Rob Hall team. After he had climbed a few mountains before he got the push that he should climb MT. Everest. He could have used his old express to use help new climbers like Beck and Yasuko Namba instead of being selfish. “Beck and especially Yasuko, on the other hand, had looked sketchy. Several times both Beck and Yasuko had appeared to be in danger of falling off a ladder and plummeting into a crevasse, and Yasuko seemed to know next to nothing about how to use crampons.” (85). He always made sure he was in front of the group, if you were slow he would pass you he really didn’t care if he passed you he thought he was special when in reality he wasn’t. “Andy encounter with the falling rock was very much on my mind every time I unclipped from the line to move around somebody.” (167).
