In George Orwell’s 1984 Winston the protagonist is a member of the Outer party.The party runs Oceania, a large empire spanning over the many continents.The party uses “Big Brother” a system that listens to every citizens, what they say and what they do.The party wants citizens to think and act the same, by the party controlling all aspects of life.Food, language and thought.Thought is controlled by the thought police who use telescreens as way to the masses.They take the people away to a “Ministry of love” which is hypocritical, as the building is styled with brutalist architecture.With no windows.Most government building are made with hypocritical names like “Ministry of truth”

He is working on Newspeak the new language that was being adopted throughout Oceania, the language was try to replace Oldspeak of English.Newspeak was made by the entirely by the party and simplified the syntax and system of English.Removing words that don’t apply the party, so Syme remarked “”Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to nar. row the range of thought? The purpose of Newspeak is to control people's thoughts by making some words that go against impossible to think about.So the purpose is to make “thoughtcrime” or think rudely of the government impossible,Thus making revolt or even thinking about revolting placing constraint on people's thoughts.But, the real purpose of 1984 as a warning to the public of what would've happened if people just took their democracies for granted.So, this would be away for George Orwell to show how important speech is for humans to communicate about current events.Often, if someone doesn’t know to communicate they won’t be able to convey their idea.This would be
