Most people think that true love is just in fairy tales and myths, but it’s not. There is a 37% chance of finding someone you genuinely love, and can live the rest of your life with at any moment given in time. In The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger, A 16-year-old named Holden seems to have found his true love named Jane. Holden gives/receives affection from Jane, Holden is protective over Jane, and Holden has an obsessive nature when it involves Jane, all these moments show how Jane is Holdens, true love.
Holden gives and receives affection from jane When Holden's mother drove to the village she always ended up seeing Jane with her mom in their convertible. A little while after Jane and Holden became acquainted they “Get close to necking”(78). This infers that Holden likes the way Jane looks and wants to love her emotionally and physically.
