In today’s society, moral values are a part of people's daily lives in which we make choices based on situations that occur. Morality is a code of values intended to guide people's choices and actions, which can lead one to make a wrong or right decision. In Macbeth, William Shakespeare sheds light on the idea that power can cause one to become immoral. Shakespeare establishes moral codes through Macbeth with description of cruel acts within the kingdom. Macbeth's judgments become disorientated because of his judgements, causing him to lose his sanity and spiral towards his immorality. In society today, we see people helping others during times of crisis such as hurricanes and snowstorms. Strangers help each other when placed in dangerous situations showing their pure moral intentions. However, in some drastic cases such as the Holocaust, Adolf Hitler was extremely immoral with the decisions he took. Hitler took the action of killing innocent Jews in order to “cleanse” the world, as he thought was important. His immorality and cruel actions exemplify how wrong judgements can distort reality and cause others to be affected in a detrimental way. Hitler believed he was doing what was necessary in order to gain power as Macbeth thought killing everyone in his path would allow him to stay in power. However, by killing all of those people he made the wrong decision and in turn not only killed innocent people but was affected by mental issues that later sought to the end of their “career.” Moral values can have pure intentions; however, it can easily be altered with the opinions of others and cause one to make ill-fated decisions ultimately showing the true stature of
