My Mexican Cultural Identity is a completely opposite than most people. My cultural identity is Unique. My middle name is ? Iniguez? comes from the spanish person named Inigo from the name Ignacio or Ignatius. The name was popular because of St. Ignatius, Father of the Church and Patriarch of Constantinople, and St. Ignatius Loyola. My cultural Identity comes from Mexico. My Mexican Heritage explains why I celebrate things the way I do. I celebrate Halloween with lots of family get togethers, and Christmas we surround across the campfire and eat some conchas with some very hot but thrilling cocoa.

For Example: My family usually celebrates holidays with like white elephant on Christmas to huge parties to family/gatherings. In the United States there would not be Cinco De Mayo nor Day of The Dead if the mexicans had not come to the United States. But my cultural identity involves on what I believe on like, on how I dress i don?t wear large ridiculous hats or mexican like things that will make me look ridiculous. I wear what makes me feel comfortable and my identity I see myself and an american who loves different kinds of things like chinese food, italian food, Indian food, my cultural identity is not based on the colour of my skin but on how i celebrate things and who and what i believe on. My cultural Identity is different from all the reasons, my culture is different from mexican?s, to the whites , to the native people. I believe that there are different kinds of culture and people that celebrate things way differently than if they were in mexico and maybe have different kinds of Culture. For Example: African Americans get really hyped up for the Super Bowl they go all out like throwing big extravaganzas and they do more stuff differently and may dress and or act differently . But for My mexican culture it is all about the World Cup in my household we throw parties that last up the whole night even maby in the morning we invite our family and friends to enjoy the time we have toghether, we eat popcorn , the adults may drink and the kids go outside and play with the cousins but we all enjoy the time we have together as a family.
