I noticed more themes of non-absolutism in the movie “Black Panther.” One example of non-absolutism is that the king of Wakanda has a council that helps the King make decisions. They are made up of elders from different tribes in Wakanda. The council advises the king and makes sure his decisions are good for Wakanda. The King has to listen to the council which shows it is not an absolute monarchy. Also, the king of Wakanda is allowed to be challenged for the throne. This makes sure that Wakanda has a deserving leader. The fact that it is possible to challenge to become king in Wakanda shows that Wakanda is not an absolute monarchy.
