In the story Odysseus, Odysseus showed us truely what a epic hero is. There was so many obstacles for Odysseus to get home to his wife in Ithaca. In the story odysseus showed us his bravery and courage being a epic hero. Thanks to Odysseus he sets a great example of a epic hero.
This epic hero has been through so many challenges and adventures to get back home in Ithaca. He had to face many monsters and creatures on his journey. Odysseus was a great example of a epic hero he was clever and brave person for faceing all of his challenges throughout the story. In the story Odysseus does something to save his men for being taken by the sirens, I carried waxs along the line , and laid it thick on their ears” (Homer 710-718). This is a great example of how Odysseus cleverness saved some of his men from being taken by the sirens. Odysseus bravery, courage, and cleverness was a great help throughout his journey for faceing many things. With all of these qualities Odysseus is a epic hero thought out this whole story.

Him and his men gets stucks in the cave with the cyclopes so there was no way out for them. Odysseus had to come up with a plan to save his men and to get out of the cave. His great idea to get out of there was to get the cyclops drunk and stab it in the eye with a olive branch. This scene of the story showed how Odysseus wise choice got him and his men out of that situation. An example to back up this evidence “drunk, hiccuping,he dribbles streams of liquor and bits of men”. Now I drove my big hand spike deep in embers, charing it again”. (Homer 320-330).
