There were many great ancient Greek rulers. Odysseus was a ruler, he was the very intelligent, brave, creative, and fast thinking one of all. But Odysseus was quite cocky. He was a ruler in 1200 BC., he was not only a ruler, he was a leader of men. I agree that Odysseus deserves a leadership award.
During the Trojan war Odysseus tricked the Trojans into letting him, and his men into their fortress. According to the passage, “ He ordered his men to build a giant wooden horse”. This showed the creativity of Odysseus. In the passage it says, “ Assuming the Greeks retreated and left the horse as a peace offering, they brought the horse inside the gates. They soon discovered, too late, that the horse was filled with Greek soldiers and that their city was doomed”. Odysseus was very intelligent, it showed through how he devised the plan to make the Trojans believe they retreated. I agree that Odysseus deserves a leadership award. …show more content…

During the Cylopses slumber Odysseus put together a plot. They spotted a giant lumber log. According the Passage, “I hewed again to make a stake with pointed end. I held this in the fire’s heart and turned it, toughening it, then hid it.” Straight forward they sprinted, lifted it, and rammed it deep in his crater eye”. Odysseus and his men blinded the Cyclops. The quickness of this plan and his manhood shows how fast thinking and brave he was. I agree that Odysseus deserves a leadership
