American Imperialism is a country’s action of extending their power and influence through diplomacy or military force. Imperialism is the domination of the economic, political, and cultural life of another nations or countries. The American ideals in imperialism lead to the spread of propaganda, anti-German and Japanese sentiments, creation of rationing program and change the role of women’s workforce at the American homefront.

Anti-German sentiments in the United States shut down German newspapers. There is no more German language in public schools. Robert Paul Prager, 29-year-old, German bakery employee died in front of a tree and was accused of talking bad about the United State. Americans name called Germans “Huns”. Rationing program was created during Spring, in 1942. The program is a form of propaganda scaring people into supporting the war. This leads to thinking that they won’t have enough food to feed the family. Ration stamps were a way to help American consumers survive and buy meat, sugar, fat, butter, vegetables and fruit. American families also bought gas, tires, clothes and fuel oil. Communities organized events that create the main purpose to collects recyclable products such as scrap metal, aluminum cans, and rubber to produce armaments. The role of women in workforce leads to a result of no men at home. Many women were U.S. workers. Jobs are welders, electricians, and riveters used to be men’s role. However, it is now women's role.
