Peaceful resistance. Nonviolent/peaceful resistance is the refusal to obey a law considered unjust which is civil disobedience. Being peaceful and fighting for what you believe in doesn't and shouldn't negatively impact a free society. We live in a country where freedom of speech is expressed freely without judgement, so why should expressing what you think is right peacefully impact a society negatively? There are many examples in history that teach of civil disobedience, but one person in particular that I admire is Rosa Parks. Why Rosa Parks? Simple, she knew what was right and wasn't fearful. Many people know of her story and her brave actions and the impact is has on this country, but I will forever be grateful for her example of determination and courage. She sat in that seat on that bus with fear, but with a fearless spirit. Although she was arrested for her act of civil disobedience, she did it peacefully.

I think peacefully resisting the law impacts our society in a positive way because it helps us future leaders of America know that it is okay to defy the law with knowledge of what is taking place and with a purpose in place. Although "breaking the law" does not sound ideal and definitely shouldn't happen, but at some point we should be aware of the good changes it can bring to our society and to our laws.
So the question does peaceful resistance to the laws positively or negatively impact a free society arise. Peaceful resistance to the laws positively impact our free society because we are able to exercise our freedom of speech, resisting the law doesn't just happen it happens because we are aware of the changes that need to be mandated. To the future leaders of America, fight for what you believe, but do it with knowledge of your consequences, do it with a fearless spirit like Rosa Parks, do it for
