The world is a very powerful and unequal place where it is harder to even have a say in what happens in your life. If it is looked at closer as an individual you can choose to stay silent and get controlled by external forces or have your own opinion on things and choose the best for yourself. Sometimes others can't be true to themselves so they force power upon themselves to make people feel hopeless or feel as though they are being brainwashed into doing anything the person in power wants them to. Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth that once Duncan is asleep, she'll make sure that the plan is executed meaning she just wants Macbeth to do her dirty work since she's a “lady”. The servants were so drunk that they passed out. Now that Lady Macbeth has done this, she and Macbeth can kill Duncan and blame his servants for the killing. Lady Macbeth's plan ends up being good enough to convince Macbeth to change his mind and agree to kill Duncan. This is proved when Macbeth finally caves and says “I am settled and [bent] up”(Act 1 Scene 7).
