During my analytical research, Social Determinants of Health is important trend found within the healthcare industry. Social Determinants of health are conditions in which people live, learn, work, and play that affect a wide range of health and quality-of life-risks and outcomes (CDC,2021). Some examples of SDOH are racial discrimination, having health care insurance coverage, and access to health care. With these barriers it is important implement programs and more resources to support SDOH. The communities that are impacted are the low income because they don’t have access to many resources a middle- or high-income community may have. Healthcare access, pricing, delivery methods, and privacy are all impacted by policy. It refers to the rules and regulations enacted by legislators at the municipal, state, and national levels. Within the healthcare system there are three different types of policy decisions. “Public policy decisions define what services will be provided; clinical policy decisions decide who will get clinical care; and administrative policy decisions indicate where services will be situated as well as how they will be supported and administered. Decision levels are strategic, consequential, and far-reaching decisions; tactical, medium range and moderate decisions that support strategic decisions; and operational, everyday decisions that support tactical decisions”.
