Around the rose lays the empty soil giving nutrients.The insects strolling past it, yet not enough to disturb it. The grass is in the far distance;Weeds growing nearby. Nothing but quiet surrounding it. The chirping of the birds and buzzing of the bees, there is nobody around. Soon the sprinklers will go off helping the rose with its process of growing.The sun is beating down with its warm layers. Nobody around just the stillness of nature. The rose gives nothing but joy and knowing someone cares for you.
What I did not know before I started researching transcendentalism is the connection between the individual and nature. There are over 100 different types of species of roses. Normally you would categorize a rose as a flower; which is scientifically true. But looking through the eyes of a transcendentalist they see the rose as an individual; not focusing on the roses as a group but as one. Each rose symbolizes something unique and different. For example a red rose symbolizes love, a white rose symbolizes purity and innocence, a black rose symbolizes death and separation, and last a purple rose symbolizes protection but at the same time it also shows royalty.
