The internet is arguably the best thing to happen to mankind since we discovered fire. The internet is a giant pool of information that is infinite, the best part is that’s all this power is at our fingertips in a few strokes of a key board you can be a subject matter expert on anything you want. It is hard to imagine that we have possess the ability to talk to people from around the world and share ideas. So, when asked if I thought that google was making people stupid I couldn’t help but to chuckle.
Before the internet if you needed to learn something new you had to drive down to your local library and check out one or two books on your topic and read them. If each book was only 100 pages that’s 200 pages you are limited to. Compare

A down side to this is that it is making us lazy. We are the now generation, we want everything quick and easy, that includes are information. So, if we are reading and article and in that first 30 seconds we don’t get the information are minds will wonder or we get frustrated and move on to the next article. Another of them being that a student plagiarizes and steal other authors writing to try and skate out of the work. A lazy student will try anything and everything to get out of having to do homework. Some students will steal an entire article and slap their name on it, this is an unexpectable act that gives the internet its bad reputation. As a teacher, it would be very frustrating to give a student an A on a paper he or she did not even write. Also, the internet is a very distraction place. It is very easy to lose an entire day due to the internet. Take me for example I took numerus breaks to check Facebook while writing this paper. As a student, it is very tempting to play on the internet rather than work on the it. The internet is the driving force behind the advances in modern medicine and science. For a scientist to be able to share his results on an experiment to another scientist is simply amazing. My wife is going to school for biology and she can pull up experiment results and study a scientist work, that allows her to advance her knowledge to gain an edge in her class. Even teachers can read these results and watch what experiment is being done so they can apply it to their class rooms. Also, online classes allow students the opportunity to go to school latterly on their own time. This alone has allowed millions of students to attend college even on their busy schedule. I personally would not have the time to matinee an in-class schedule, but with online I can go to “class” as soon as I get of work. Google itself help students get the extra help in school. For example, if a student is having a hard time in a math class he or she can go home go to an online website and teach their self’s the material. The ability to ask google for help is an amazing tool, without the help of an online tooter, a student would either must porches a tutor or go through the class and not learn a thing. Google also helps every type of learner, for example someone who only can get a concept by seeing it be done can watch videos on it being done. It’s hard for me to
