Object Shape Can Change Perception of its Volume Psychology is "the scientific study of human and animal behavior and mental processes" (Doorey, 2014). Scientists focus on the study of psychology in order to determine how peoples' brains work. There are ways on how people move, think, remember, and feel. These ways are also called observable behaviors. As experts dive into the psychological facts and evidence, the question is, how will the shape of an object change the perception of its volume? The reason for this is any people perceive objects and how much volume the object weighs. Perception is very complex, and it can also deal with the memories, environment, and the understandings that human beings have. The value of perception can either be good or bad. If people tend to perceive things as bad, it's a common sense issue, or can either be based on the feelings. The meaning behind that is, if a person who seems to be rather daring and audacious feels that they have the courage to do something out of this world or maybe even impossible. The next step into perception is behavior. Although people have the tendency to perceive things, their behavior can immensely affect their emotions and thinking. "Behavioral Psychology is basically interested in how our behavior results from the stimuli both in the environment and within ourselves" (Heffner, 2016). Behavioral Psychology has also helped us with "the effect our environment has on us, how we learn new behaviors, and what motivates us to change or remain the same" (Heffner, 2016).
