How Social Media Affects Your College and Job Application
How often do you use social media? Do you ever wonder how it affects you in the future? I’ve been researching this topic for about a week learning about what not to do to keep your future full of options. Example; you might be doing not the greatest things, thinking no one will find out or see it. Until you apply for a college or a job and they look at your accounts and see what you’ve been doing. If what you’re doing is on the bad side, my guess is they won’t want to have you there.

Some ways to make sure your accounts are okay is to use a search engine and look up yourself to see what comes up, ex: Bing, Yahoo, or Google. Removing any negative comments would be smart. Also removing any contact information, so business don’t think that it’s that easy to get ahold of that one person and that that person isn't a private person. “Rather than considering what an admissions advisor might think of you, get ahead of the game and consider what you want other to think of you.” (SAT, 2001) Staying safe means less worrying.
